True's Beaked Whale Description
True's beaked whale is little known and has not been positively identified at sea. Its range overlaps with that of Cuvier's beaked whale but its greater size, smaller beak and lighter head should be distinctive.
Like many of the other beaked whales, teeth are visible in the male when the mouth is closed.
They also tend to be scarred on the back and sides.
