Tasmanian Numbfish Description
  In this species the distance between the spiracle and the eye is longer than the horizontal diameter of the eye. The margins of the disc are concave and it is shorter than the tail. The dorsal coloration is yellowish brown to chocolate brown and there are no markings on the body. The ventral surface is white. The juveniles often have a stripe in the middle of the disc and dark blotches on the disc and on the dorsal fin bases.
