Like others
in this group it lacks an anal fin, and has small spines
in front of the dorsals. The body is slender, the snout
is very long, the labial furrows are also long, almost
encircling the entire mouth. The dorsal fins are almost
equal in height and size. The color is black or blackish
brown overall.
