The Connemara
Pony is a small, agile, gentle pony that makes a wonderful
animal for children and adults. In fact, these ponies
have been used for the disabled. It is relatively easy
to take care for and feed. It is a compact animal with
short legs. They are one of the larger of native British
Ponies. The Connemara's coat can be alomost any solid
color. It has an attractive head and large, warm eyes.
It has a fairly long life span, and has been known to
live longer than 30 years. It is the only native pony
of Ireland and had been used for generations in Ireland
as a working animal for farmers.
