The Buckskin
is a class of horse that is defined by its coloring
like the Palomino. The Buckskin may be seen in a variety
of breeds including the Quarter Horse, Arabian, Shetland
and many other breeds of ponies and horses. Because
it is seen in a variety of breeds, it is difficult to
say what their commom behavior would be. It is a very
versatile horse and can be seen from pleasure and work
horse, to the show-ring. They are highly desired because
of their beautiful coloring. It can be deer colored,
brown with black points. There is a Dun, which has a
dorsal stripe. A Red Dun is like the Dun, but is very
reddish. The Grulla has more of a blue-gray tone to
its color, with a dorsal stripe and dark points.
