Buckskin Description
The Buckskin is a class of horse that is defined by its coloring like the Palomino. The Buckskin may be seen in a variety of breeds including the Quarter Horse, Arabian, Shetland and many other breeds of ponies and horses. Because it is seen in a variety of breeds, it is difficult to say what their commom behavior would be. It is a very versatile horse and can be seen from pleasure and work horse, to the show-ring. They are highly desired because of their beautiful coloring. It can be deer colored, brown with black points. There is a Dun, which has a dorsal stripe. A Red Dun is like the Dun, but is very reddish. The Grulla has more of a blue-gray tone to its color, with a dorsal stripe and dark points.
