The Bashkir
horse gets is name from the fact that Bashkir warriors
used them as mounts in the Nepoleonic wars. It is known
and valued for their hardy and sturdy qualities. The
Bashkir is a docile and peaceful animal. They are very
intelligent, which makes them very trainable. It is
a hardworking horse and has a high endurance. Because
they evolved in very harsh, cold climates, they are
adept to cold, snowy conditions. They come in many different
colors including, chestnut, gray, brown, piebald, and
black. Their very thick coat of hair enables them to
survive in extremely cold conditions. The mane and tail
are very thick as well. Their bodies are long and thick
and they have a large head, a wide breast cage, and
flat backs. Its hooves are quite hard, and sometimes
unshod. |
