Anglo-Kabarda Description |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
The Anglo-Kadarba,
also known as Anglo-Kabardinskaya in its native Russia
is a bred by crossing Kadarba mares with Thoroughbred
stallions and retaining the best characteristics of
both breeds. It is best known for its endurance. They
are often used as cavalry mounts in armies and endurance
trail-riding competitions. They are very capable of
navigating difficult mountain terrains. Though they
are not speedy racing horses, they are fairly quick.
They have a high action, even, and rhythmical walk, and
a light and smooth trot and canter. There are three
types of the Anglo-Kadarbas; the basic type, oreiental
types, and the massive types. The basic type is well
muscled and lean with a well-shaped head. It is somewhat
larger than the Kadarbin but smaller than the Thoroughbread,
making it a medium-sized horse. The Oriental type has
clean legs, smaller heads, and expressive eyes. The
massive type is larger, with longer bodies and larger
bones. They look very much like a carriage horse. |
