Lakeland terrier Description
The Lakeland Terrier is a squarely proportioned, solid dog similar to the Welsh Terrier, but a bit smaller. It is elegant with a beautiful, elongated head and straight, strongly boned legs. Its long head has bushy hair on the foreface. Its teeth are either overshot or undershot. It has a hard outer coat with an undercoat liner to protect it from brambles and bad weather. The jaws are powerful and it has dark or hazel eyes. Its v-shape ears fold over and it has a dark nose. The tail is docked and carried high. The dog looks as if he is standing on his toes.
