Irish terrier Description
The Irish Terrier is a medium-sized, well-proportioned terrier and looks very similar to the Wirehaired Fox Terrier, but somewhat longer and taller. It has a flat skull, long whiskers and a bearded muzzle with powerful jaws. The stop is only really noticeable in profile. It has a black nose and ears that are v-shaped and fold forward. The hair on the ears is shorter and often darker than on the rest of the dog. It has dark, fiery eyes topped with bushy eyebrows. Its front legs are straight, long and muscular. Its tail is docked 3/4 of its original length and carried erect. It has a rough looking outer coat that is lined with a softer undercoat.
