Similar
to the English Foxhound, but smaller, the Harrier is
a hardy, speedy, and compact muscular hunting hound.
It has the finest sense of smell. The Harrier is slightly
longer than tall and built with large bone for stamina
and strength. Its tail is medium-length and carried
high, but is not curled over the back, which is level.
The skull is broad with a strong square muzzle. Its
pendant ears are rounded and its eyes are brown or hazel.
When the dog is relaxed, its expression is mellow and
when he is excited it is alert. The feet are tight and
cat-like, and the front toes may turn inward.
