  The Flat-Coated Retriever is a beautiful dog that has a sleek, thick, fine and medium-length coat that is well-feathered on the legs, tail and chest. Its head is molded and sleek with a wide muzzle. The eyes are brown or hazel with an intelligent expression. It has fairly small ears that lay flat against the head. Its chest is deep and wide and the back is short and square. The legs are muscular and the feet are round and strong.
