Cairn terrier Description
The Cairn Terrier is a peppy and very hardy terrier with a fox-like expression. It has an abundant shaggy outer coat with a soft downy undercoat. It is hard to predict an adult coat color from the puppy coat as the color often continues to change for several years. It is short with good bone structure and has a compact body. Its head is broad with a bushy topknot and eyebrows and black nose. Its muzzle is powerful but not heavy and a robust skull. The eyes are dark hazel and deep set. The ears are pointy, small, and erect. Its short, hairy tail is carried gaily.
