The Borzoi
is an aristocratic dog that is tall with a long, thin,
narrow head. Its muzzle is slightly arched and it has
a long, low-hanging curved tail. The heavy-neck ruff
is characteristic for the Borzoi. Its nose is black
and the eyes are oblong and dark. Its ears lie and the
back of the neck but will pick up partially when the
dog is alert. Its back is gracefully curved and its
chest is narrow, but very deep. Its coat is longish
and silky and may be wavy or have large curls. It has
a heavy mane at the neck.
