American Staffordshire terrier Description
The American Staffordshire is a stocky and very muscular dog. It is agile and extremely strong for its size. It has a broad, powerful head with a short muzzle and very strong jaws. The ears are generally cropped and stand erect. Its eyes are round and black. The coat is thick, short, and shiny. Its tail tapers to a point. It is usually larger of bone structure, head size, and weight than their cousins, the American Pit Bull Terrier.
