This species
is more aptly called the Swamp or Reed Cat, since it
hunts around marshes, riverbanks, and ponds- often near
human habitations. Slender and long-legged, it has an
unpatterned coat varying from yellow - or brownish gray
to tawny red, and its tail has black rings and black
tip. This cat rests in thick vegetation or abandoned
burrows, and is active by day or night.
