More mustelid
than felid in appearance, with its pointed snout, long
body, and short legs, the Jaguarundi varies from black
in forested areas to pale gray-brown or red in dry shrubland.
Much less nocturnal than most cats, it hunts in the
morning and evening and forages mainly on the ground.
It is hunted and subject to habitat destruction
