Flat Headed Cat Description |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
Slightly
smaller than a domestic cat, the Flat- headed Cat lives
around rivers, lakes, swamps, and canals. A semiaquatic
preditor of fish, it also takes shrimp, frogs, rodents,
and small birds. Its toes are partiallly webbed and
the claws cannot be retracted fullly, and its upper
premolers are large and sharp, helping it to grip slippery
prey.
The most outstanding feature of this cat, however, is
its long and narrow skull with a flattened forehead
and small, low set ears. Its coat is dark brown, tinged
silver. |
