Spectacled Bear Description
The spectacled bear is a fairly small bear with females being about 30% - 40% smaller than the males. It gets in name from the unusual white markings around its eyes that resemble glasses. Its fur is dense and medium length and the white markings are unique for each bear. Like all bears, they are platigrade and have very short, stubby tails.
